My big beautiful pain in the ass cat, Simon, is missing. He went to make his rounds among the lady cats in the neighborhood on Friday evening and never returned. It was the coldest night we've had this winter...and we have had apocalyptic rains for the past 2 days. Go figure.
I can only hope that he has holed up somewhere warm and dry with one of his gal pals and not that he turned into a nice little orange popsicle the other night. Or worse yet, a tasty little treat for a coyote.
The kid and I are heading out to hang flyers and visit the animal shelter. Wish us luck and our Simey a safe return.
UPDATE: It's been 10 days and still no sign of my sweet Simon. His buddies are out cruising the neighborhood again and he is not with them, so it doesn't look good. I am sad for him, thinking that he may have been hurt and we couldn't find him in time to help....
I miss him.
